Sensing Change provides a countywide service to adults that have a sight/hearing loss or dual sensory loss. They will be in the Hub at lunchtime on Tuesday 26 June looking to recruit My Guide volunteers. Volunteers will receive free training endorsed by VISION 2012 which will give them the skills to confidently guide blind and partially sighted people, enabling safe negotiation of the environment, building confidence and developing links to the local community, whilst maintaining dignity and promoting independence. All volunteers over the age of 18 and who can commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week welcome.
