The PULSE team from the New Wolsey Theatre will be in the Hub on Tuesday 21 May from 11.30-14.00 to tell you more about this year’s Pulse Fringe Festival which runs from 30 May to 8 June.

PULSE FRINGE FESTIVAL – 30 MAY TO 8 JUNE

10-days / 47 companies / 22 finished shows / 22 works in progress / 2 bespoke new pieces made with the people of Ipswich / a brand new commission / a competition: the Suitcase Prize, in which participants compete to win £1,000 for the best piece of theatre that can be toured on public transport / and a family day on Sunday 2 June.

PULSE Fringe is a snapshot of contemporary theatre and performance comprising of finished shows, work in progress and new ideas. Now in its 13th year, the festival brings an exciting blend of artists embracing a wide variety of performance arts to Ipswich offering a unique opportunity to see a wide range of top quality, emotionally charged and entertaining work and innovative thinking. The Festival takes places across the New Wolsey Theatre, New Wolsey Studio, Ipswich Museum, the HEG (High Street Exhibition Gallery) and Ipswich Town Hall. With live music in the bar at the end of every day and dinner for a fiver. It’s the Edinburgh Fringe on your doorstep!

See a live, interactive re-telling of the 1987 classic film, Predator; meet Victoria Melody, otherwise known as Mrs Brighton, who reflects on our fascination with celebrities, beauty and winning; Mark Thomas presents Bravo Figaro, a powerful story about his relationship with his father; Ursula Martinez has created a show called My Stories, Your Emails about the reaction to her infamous magic striptease act when it was illicitly posted online… and lots more….

The Jazz with a Twist fund raising event is raising funds for three charities, Perspectives Pregnancy Advice, Samaritans Purse and Father’s Heart. Representatives from Perspectives will be in the Hub at lunchtime on Wednesday 1 & Wednesday 29 May to provide information on the work of this charity working in the Ipswich area and support selling tickets for this fund raising event. Tickets will be on sale for the dinner evening on 6 July and auction of items including a garden make over, trips round sports car manufacturers and hotel breaks.

The Ramada Encore, Ipswich team will be in the Hub 29-30 April to launch and outline the benefits of the new Adastral Park Loyalty Card’ for everyone based at the Park.
