During the call we heard from Dave Pankhurst, BT, and Elliot Parnham, Skyfarer.

This event was a organised in collaboration with Adastral Presents , and was streamed live from the Knight Studio in Adastral Park, Suffolk. Adastral Park is home to BT Labs the heart of BT's research, development and innovation since 1974.

David Pankhurst, Director of Drones, BT Group part of Etc, joined BT in 2016, leading a product team focusing on new growth opportunities for BT before building BT’s Drones unit into a newly formed incubation arm of the business. David gave us an overview of the drone market, including the complexity of the eco system, uses of drones in different industries and progress being made to unlock the value that drones can provide.



Elliot Parnham, Skyfarer
Elliot Parnham, Founder and CEO of Skyfarer Ltd, is an innovative engineer with a technical background in advanced Aerospace and Space. He set out on a mission of using drones for good in 2017 and is now an industry leader for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations in the UK. Elliot covered past, current and future operations, regulatory points and how the consortium they work with can revolutionise the use of drones for good.
