Adastral Park turned into a snow globe scene thanks to a skating rink and a little help from Mother Nature.

The culmination of a year of celebrations at Adastral Park – which commemorated the 40 years since BT moved to the site – was a skating rink in the grounds of the Park. When the snow arrived in the east of England that week it topped off the festive atmosphere.

As well as being open to Adastral Park employees and their guests – around 1000 in total took a turn on the rink – local schools and a charity joined in the fun. 650 school children visited the Park to enjoy the rink; a teacher from one of the schools said: “We all had a fantastic if not wet time. It was a real experience to go skating outdoors in the snow, at Christmas.”

The charity, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH), also used the rink: “We just wanted to say a huge thank you for letting us use the rink last night. We have had really good feedback from everyone and they all enjoyed themselves.”Ice skating
