Today, ThorpeGlen was named as one of the winners of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.  The award recognises exceptional performance in innovation by British companies. This is the second Queen’s award ThorpeGlen has won in as many years.

ThorpeGlen Ltd is a specialist software company headquartered at Adastral Park.  The ThorpeGlen team designed and built the original software while part of BT’s R&D facility and have continued to develop the solution and expand its customer base internationally since becoming a stand-alone company.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious awards for business performance. They recognise and reward outstanding achievement by UK companies. To win an innovation award, a company must be able to demonstrate substantial improvement in business performance and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the size of the applicant’s operations.

Commenting on the award, Boyd Mulvey CEO at ThorpeGlen said “I am delighted that the team’s hard work over many years had been recognised further by this second Queen’s Award.  It is an honour for the team, a fabulous achievement and a credit to the people who helped form and build the business.  It is a mark of recognition and has been achieved only through the combined efforts and commitment of the entire ThorpeGlen Team, both here in the UK and overseas.  We hope this milestone provides additional impetus to drive the business to further success both in our current regions and the new regions we are targeting”.
