East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), cares for children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs and, supports their family. Some of these children only have a short time to live, whilst others may reach young adulthood, but their aim is always the same – to enhance their quality of life and support all those who love and care for them.
Their current hospice bungalow in Ipswich is inadequate for the demands of children’s hospice care services in Suffolk & North Essex, so they’re looking to raise £3 million to build a new hospice, known as the Treehouse Appeal.
There are a number of events planned for the coming months, which you can find at www.each.org.uk/treehouse, so please feel free to visit and get involved. Companies at Adastral Park may wish to become involved in the corporate challenge, or even sponsor a brick in the Woodland Walk.
Butterfly Day is on 21 May, so why not have coffee and cakes together with friends or colleagues and raise some money for the Treehouse Appeal.
EACH are also looking for volunteers to help with events such as ‘Music on the Green’ on 10 July. Just a couple of hours in the morning to man the entrances.
On Tuesday 25 May EACH will be in the Hub during the lunch period, so please pop over and have a look. There’s also some literature in the Hub foyer now which may be of interest.
