It has long been part of the mantra of both the previous Labour and new Coalition governments that Britain needs a new generation of Nuclear Power stations if the lights are not to go out before the end of the decade. But is this really the case? What have these governments based their assumptions on and have they considered all the options? Keith will examine the sources of information on which these assumptions are based and ask if there are greener alternatives that would adequately avoid the risk of energy shortages in the future.
