Portugal’s percussion-mad sextuplet comes to the UK with a dynamic show that combines music, comedy and theatre. Using alternative instruments (including barrels, bottles and the audience), be-dom has created a performance guaranteed to thrill, uplift and make you shake your booty! An underground to smash hit sensation in their home country, the show uses music as a platform to bring an entire audience together in one rhythm. Part rock concert and part wise-cracking humour, this show is perfect for everyone!

Parkinson’s UK will be in the Hub at lunchtime on Friday 27 May to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and the local support in Suffolk. Information will be available regarding the disease itself, the Parkinson’s UK charity which gives support, raises awareness and conducts research, and information about local support groups in Suffolk. The new Regional Information and Support worker, two past BT workers who have Parkinson’s and one carer whose husband has Parkinson’s will be available to answer questions. Information about various sponsored events will also be available.

Spirent Communications including iTest, will have a stand at the Hub, Adastral Park on Monday 23 May. The stand will be on site from 10am to 4pm during which time Spirent people will be available to discuss the latest solutions designed to deliver tomorrows networks.

Prospect will be in the Hub lunchtime on Tuesday 24 May.

On Wednesday 25 May there will be a stand in the Hub promoting the Music Night being held on Saturday 25 June. Full details of acts and how to book tickets can be found here.

Come along to the Hub on Thursday 26 May to get your blood pressure and blood sugar measured by the Adastral Park ambulance team. Suffolk Family Carers will also be at the event to offer advice and information about being a carer and discuss their services.

Representatives from Parkinson’s UK will be in the Hub on Friday 27 May with information about the disease itself, the charity and local support groups in Suffolk.

Suffolk Family Carers is a charity that has been supporting Family Carers for the past 23 years. We provide support and information and often a lot more. If you are looking after someone at home whether that is a husband, wife, partner, mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter, neighbour or friend who cannot care for themselves then we are here to support you. David Cunliffe, from Suffolk Family Carers will be available to offer advice and information about being a carer as well as services provided by SFC.

The Ipswich Hospital works with Suffolk Family Carers to provide support to family carers visiting patients. We have information available at our Information Centre/Advice and Complaints Service and aim to work alongside family carers to plan for discharge and to ensure a holistic approach to care. Sarah Higson, Patient Experience Lead will be available to provide information and advice about coming into hospital and support for carers.
