Axial Systems Ltd. will be in the Hub on Tuesday 27 September between 10.00 and 15.00 to provide details of their Aggregation switching technology ‘Gigamon’ to a wider audience within BT. Axial have currently been providing this Aggregation solution as part of the Voice Monitoring Platform for BT 21CN.

Prospect will be in the Hub on Wednesday 28 September at lunchtime.

Macmillan coffee morning – A variety of delicious cakes will be on sale in the Hub on Friday 30 September, from 10.00-12.00. All proceeds will go to Macmillan.

Melanie of Vital Holistics will be offering free taster massage treatments, including Indian Head Massage, Neck & Shoulders, Face and Back massages in the Hub concourse on Wednesday 21 September, between 10.00-14.00.

The Suffolk Police Community Officer will be in the Hub at lunchtime on Thursday 22 September.

This months social lunchtime walk will re-treat the steps we forged during Walk to Work Week and stroll around the outside fence and the 4 acre site.

Each walk will have a specific point of interest en-route and take between 60-90 minutes, with two guides to cater for a fast or slower pace. Unless otherwise stated, we shall leave Adastral Park Reception promptly at 12:15 – please come suitably prepared for the weather and walk.

If anyone wants to deposit their own Geo-cache we can help make this happen, just let us know in advance.

For October we hope to plan a trip to the Radio Tower Museum on Martlesham Heath. Future destinations depending on interest include: Long Stopps and a historic walk around Ipswich (early evening after work).

Volunteers are urgently needed for just a couple of hours to help litter pick, car park management and (BT) minibus drivers.

Saturday 17 September, from 10am – 4pm, at the Suffolk Wildlife Trust Trimley Marsh site (access via Cordy Lane) – see map

Last year we hosted the largest single beachwatch event in the UK, collecting over a ton of rubbish thanks to the help of over 132 volunteers – mostly from the local Ipswich & Felixstowe scout groups.  This year we plan to do even more.

On Monday 12 September, 12:00-12:30pm, Orla Murphy (Viola) and Neil Morley (Cello) will be playing in the Hub restaurant to raise funds for the DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal. The programme features a varied selection of music ranging from Baroque to Irish folk tunes including the duet “with 2 obligato Eyeglasses” by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).

Prospect will be in the Hub on Tuesday 13 September at lunchtime.
