Suffolk Police are looking to attract interest in joining the Special Constabulary. Specials are Volunteers, but work alongside Regular colleagues and perform full front line police duties. They have exactly the same powers as regular Officers. To be eligible you have to be at least 18 years of age, no restriction in relation to residency in the UK, fit enough to perform full front line operational duties and of good character. Specials are required to commit to working a minimum of 16 hours duty each month. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills, many of which are transferable into the workplace.
Suffolk Police will be available for an informal chat on the day and will follow up with individuals that show real interest with a more in-depth discussion and supply of an application pack.
