BT is once again hosting a Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work programme.

The programme gives young people the opportunity to spend a day at BT to gain an insight into the world of work.

Take Our Sons and Daughters To Work – which also helps young people think about their future career aspirations – takes place in the UK between 11– 22 February 2013.

The Adastral Park event will be on Monday 18 Feb 2013 in the exhibition hall. Specifics relating to the agenda for the event are yet to be confirmed but it is likely the hall will be divided up into zones where the children can experience various BT related attractions.

Paul Williams, programme manager, said:  “Adastral Park is our flagship BT site for this event. Every year, BT employees there support the event in greater numbers than any other BT building”.

 Work shadow

All children will be able to work shadow in BT buildings, but only those aged 15 and over will be able to travel in commercial BT vehicles as long as they are with their own parents.

BT people can also bring along nieces and nephews or grandchildren – and friends and neighbours’ children could be invited too, with their parents’ consent.

Anyone planning to bring a child to work should register here : http://formwize.intra.bt.com/run/survey3.cfm?idx=505d04000f010e08

Anyone that would like to assist by running the a ‘zone’ at the Adastral Park event, please e-mail paul.j.williams@bt.com .

There are no events planned in the Hub during this time.
