To support Energy Saving Week at Adastral Park, we are hosting a Pedal Power Challenge in the Hub between 11:00-15:00 on Thursday 3 October.

BT is backing Energy Saving Week with a series of activities to encourage you to reduce energy consumption in the home and at work. The Energy Saving Trust believes that, on average, each UK household can cut energy bills by £250 a year by taking simple steps. But it’s also important to think about energy at work too. BT’s energy bill is over £270m a year and it’s the company’s biggest environmental impact.

Our Switch to Saving Energy campaign is all about how people can help cut BT’s energy bills by taking small steps such as switching off lights and PCs, unplugging mobile phone chargers, and reporting building faults that waste energy to 0800 223388.

To support this in Adastral Park we are hosting a Pedal Power Challenge in the Hub on 3 October, between 11.00-15.00. The pedal power challenge is a bike which generates electricity when you pedal. The challenge takes less than a minute and is a chance to see how much energy you can generate through your own pedal power. We have a trophy for the person that generates the most electric on the day and also a £50 prize draw for energy champions.
