We hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

Despite all of the worry and uncertainty during these times, it’s hard to miss all the amazing fundraising that’s going on to support the NHS and supporting charities.

However, it’s become clear that some smaller, more local charities are struggling to survive now they have been forced to close charity shops and cancel fundraising activities, as well as losing the donations they would normally receive and so desperately rely on.

An example of this is East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), who are experiencing a devastating drop in income as their shops are closed and the vast majority of their supporters fundraising activities and their own events are cancelled or postponed.

In the next 12 weeks alone, their loss of income is expected to be around £1,800,000.
It is more important now than ever to continue to support our local charities, so that they can continue the amazing work they do to help children, young adults and their families within our community throughout the COVID-19 crisis and long into the future.

For this reason Adastral Park's Adrian Pettitt has chosen to do a 12 HOUR indoor cycle on Friday 1st May in order to raise money for EACH. In previous years, he and his BT colleagues have worked closely with this charity, supporting them with regular volunteering days. Due to the lockdown, this obviously can’t happen right now, so Adrian has taken it upon himself to raise some money for them.

If you would like to sponsor him/ find out a bit more about what he’s doing, please go to his Just Giving page
Any sponsors/donations will be greatly appreciated!
