In this talk we explore the challenges with densifying mobile networks and the role wireless backhaul has to play in building future mobile network architectures.
Radio frequencies above 100GHz have traditionally been confined to non-terrestrial applications such radio astronomy and satellite. Here we present some of our research looking at the deployment feasibility of high frequency radio systems and their potential as an alternative to fibre backhaul in a world of dense new street level cell sites.
