Following the success of previous years and a good weather forecast we are hoping for an excellent turn out for our fourth annual Beachwatch litter pick event.

Volunteers are urgently needed for just a couple of hours to help litter pick, car park management or (BT) minibus drivers. Family and friends are welcome to join in too. Wear suitable clothes with sturdy shoes and gloves, all other litter equipment will be provided.

WHEN: Saturday 15 September, from 10am – 4pm

WHERE: Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Trimley Marsh site (access via Station Road / Cordy Lane, Trimley St Mary, IP11 0UD) – see map

For the past two years we have hosted the largest single beachwatch event in the UK, collecting over a ton of rubbish thanks to the help of over 160 volunteers – mostly from the local Ipswich & Felixstowe scout groups.  This year we plan to do even more.

For further details email Andrew Cassy, CSR Champion,

Thanks to the support from BT, Ipswich & Felixstowe Scouts, Marine Conservation Society, Suffolk Coast & Heaths, Suffolk Wildlife Trust and the Trimley Estate.
