We have been successfully coordinating the production of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Face Shields at Adastral Park, our Exhibition Hall has become the main hub for receiving, assembling and then distributing the Shields to those in need.

Thanks to our generous volunteers who have been tremendous in donating laser cut shields, 3D printed frames and acetate, we have now delivered over 14,500 protective shields to over 350 different organisations. These organisations include; Hospitals, GPs, Care Homes, Headway, St Elizabeth Hospice, Sue Ryder and In Home Carers. Some are located close to Adastral Park and others as far away as Bournemouth and Brighton.

Over 120 individuals, organisations and companies have sent in 3D frames or readymade shields! THANK YOU! You are all heroes!!

We have had coverage on Radio Suffolk, Ipswich Star, BBC Look East & ITV Anglia News: BBC 1 Look East programme from Friday 24th April

If you can provide help with any of the following please contact Computer Science
• Printing 3D Frames or Ear Savers
• Cutting shields on laser cutter
• Volunteer to Assemble shields in the Exhibition Hall [Adastral Park residents only]

We are actively contacting care homes and health workers but if you know of someone who is in need of face shields please ask them to email us at Computer Science with their details and requirements.
