Our newest showcase, Digital Industries, is tackling the heart of the digital revolutions occurring in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. The showcase includes over 50 demonstrations - at the heart of which is how the management and the agnostic aggregation of IoT data can be used to develop the automation of processes and increase sustainability over secure comprehensive network connectivity solutions, including, private 5G, satellites and more.

Mike Williams, Customer Centre, Downstreaming Research and Innovation Manager, and lead on the new showcases' development, said "Digital industries provides a journey of technological solutions from raw materials to sustainability. Come and visit our new Robotics & Drone Lab to see our underground and overhead (pole) test-bed facilities and see some of the weird and wonderful prototype robot devices that we are working on to: dig tunnels under footways and gardens for cable deployment; travel through underground ducts to deal with blockages; and travel from pole-to-pole to maintain or replace existing cables.

We will also be providing an overview of our cyber-physical systems research area – examining how to incorporate autonomous air or ground-based vehicles into the services which we offer our customers.
