Anthony started his career as an entrepreneur while he was still at school and has since started, scaled and exited several mission-led businesses.
This first-hand experience has made him a champion and advocate of small and midsize businesses and led him to become Chief Executive of Be the Business – the UK’s productivity charity that was established in 2017 to increase the productivity of businesses across the country. It has directly generated £917m of productivity gains and added over £2bn in sales to businesses it’s worked with. And its flagship Productive Business Index is one of the leading data-led reports on UK productivity.
Anthony also chairs of the City & Guilds Industry Skills Board, leads the Department of Education’s Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, and heads the international advisory board at UCL’s School of Management.
