Colin McMillan is the Technical Director of Cisco Security Sales Engineering for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). In this role, he is responsible for delivering the technical security strategy for the region. Together with his team, his priority is to enable Cisco's customers and partners to defend against critical threats and security risks that are evolving ever faster.

Prior to his current role, Colin led the Data Centre Consulting group. He joined Cisco in 1996 through the Stratacom acquisition and has held numerous leadership positions in Cisco in the UK and Europe in technical sales and engineering. Before joining Stratacom, Colin spent ten years in software development and infrastructure security in the oil and gas sector at ExxonMobil. As a keen follower of new and emerging technologies, he has a deep interest in IoT and OT security. 

Colin studied Mathematics & Computing at RGU in Aberdeen. Colin is living near Edinburgh (Scotland), married and has 4 daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, vintage motorbikes and modular synthesizers
