Michelle is a small business campaigner and the founder of Small Business Britain, the leading champion of the UK's 5.5 million small businesses. She is also the founder of multiple campaigns aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship, such as f:Entrepreneur championing female entrepreneurship, and played a key role in spearheading The Lilac Review, a major new independent review seeking to address and overcome the inequality faced by disabled entrepreneurs, backed by the UK Government. Michelle is also director of Small Business Saturday UK, a grassroots not-for-profit campaign to support, inspire and promote small businesses across the UK that has been running for the last 12 years and is the biggest campaign globally to champion small businesses. Michelle advises HM Government on small business policy through the Small Business Council, SME Taskforce and a range of initiatives. She is a regular media commentator and was awarded a CBE in the 2021 New Year Honours for services to Entrepreneurship.
