Amy Binner
Senior Lecturer, University of Exeter

Dr Amy Binner is Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Exeter. Dr Binner specialises in environmental economics, natural capital, sustainability, non-market valuation and applications to land-use based decision-making. Her work integrates knowledge and modelling to support whole system approaches across disciplines including natural science, climate science, ecology, hydrology, forestry, economics, data science. Dr Binner has led work on several co-designed decision-support tools, including the Natural Environment Valuation Online (NEV) and Woodland Valuation tools. Under the current NERC Net Zero Plus and Add-Trees projects Dr Binner leads on user engagement and the co-development of Net Zero Carbon decision support tools working with partners including Defra, Forestry England, National Trust, The National Woodland, Ministry of Defence and Network Rail. Her research has been supported by DEFRA, ESRC, BBSRC and NERC.
