I have been at the company for 18 months in the role of Commercial Development Specialist. The work involves developing the synergy between our new EA principles and our commercial relationships, and building a commercial business plan to span the next 8 years. Integral to this is work is formulating the RIIO3 IT investment lines for the next price-control period, as well as managing the RIIO2 re-opener process. Sustainable IT is a key metric for Cadent, and as we seek to understand more about how Scope 3 emissions can be reduced directly, we are driving change by preferring to partner with IT suppliers who are at the vanguard of initiatives to address the carbon footprint of the IT services we procure from them. Through working with such suppliers I am developing a Carbon Footprint baseline for IT to inform the decision making process.

Prior to my role with Cadent I worked in academia for over a decade, developing cutting-edge solutions for businesses in the UK and internationally, using the expertise of the academics at the institution.

Out of work I love cooking, and have also been an avid follower of our Lionesses as they sought to lift the World Cup just recently. Such a testament to how to win hearts and minds…maybe something can be borrowed as we collectively try to drive change in the IT industry.
