Thomas joined Bosch back in 1987 and has spent over 20 years working in various purchasing functions and management levels in Germany and Mexico. As part of Bosch's corporate headquarter, he is currently heading governance and functional excellence of all Bosch Purchasing units as senior vice president. His scope is spanning from supply chain sustainability, risk and crisis management, IT architecture and cyber security to process chain improvements and talent management.

Prior to his purchasing activities, Thomas has spent seven years in Bosch R&D conducting research on high temperature mixed oxide ceramic materials for exhaust gas sensors and injection systems.

Thomas is long term member of the VDI and holds a PhD degree in engineering at the RWTH Aachen, Germany
