This will be followed by live demos between 2&3pm, so come and see what our amazing research teams are doing to protect our future. You'll also have the opportunity to meet Darryl Hunt from our security behaviours team, who is going to showcase the importance of the human firewall - and how to protect your home, work and IT gadgets.

Introducing Our Speakers
Ben Azvine - Distinguished Engineer and Global head of security research, BT Group
Ben leads the global cybersecurity research programme at BT. He is responsible for setting direction and strategy for security research, identifying innovation opportunities and leading a strong international team of researchers to develop new capabilities in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
During this talk Ben will cover technological challenges and opportunities that the developing cyber environment will present, covering technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and quantum computing.
Dave Harcourt - Chief Security Authority and Automation Director
A highly experienced Cybersecurity Director influencing strategy in cybersecurity within BT, the telecoms industry, and across the UK government. Responsible for setting security direction across BT and driving security automation in a mission to make security simple and easy to implement and manage. Dave leads the teams responsible for BT’s Security Enterprise Architecture, Secure by Design consultancy, security transformation stories and industry security engagement.
Dave will be talking about how modern security architectures protect the digital world and reflect on the important part we all have to play in that.
The presentation will be from 1.15 – 2.00, after which there will also be the opportunity to see some demonstrations of the latest AI technologies to create new capabilities, such as Automated response, advanced threat detection, Secure Large Language Models, and Continuous Authentication for our networks in the future cyber environment. There may also potentially be the opportunity to try ‘lock picking’ for yourselves!
